Personally, I think I prefer uncolored version :I

77 frames, colored while watching movies, so it probably took about... 6 hours? Done with Adobe Photoshop CS6

:bulletred: PLEASE, READ! (and don't make me hate you for messaging questions about everything that I already wrote here because you were too lazy to read! Really, I don't want to be mean, but it's getting really annoying.)

Since many of you asked me this, and I am sired of answering every single note/ comment about tips and tutorials 'how to animate stuff' I decided to share a nice tutorial that I stumbled upon on my tumblr.
[link] <-- here is everything I'm wiling to share about animating, that is how to use photoshop to make animations. Unfortunatelly tips about the movement I'm going to keep for myself. Professional secrecy! Mwuahahha.

Eriu belongs to me.

:bulletred: :bulletred: :bulletred: :bulletred: EDIT: This short bit got dubbed :) Check it out! [link] I love it! :bulletred: :bulletred: :bulletred:

gasp! You can tell Photoshop to do that with frames? D: ...why didn't I know that already?
so... no tips about movement, huh... I guess it's just something I have to think more about, and/or look at people in real life. (actually, I saw your "Behold Mora" pic in my random faves a minute ago, and ended up searching your gallery for "tutorial" to see if there was any way I could figure out how to do all that moving around. This, and the animation that has the inbetween tips link, came up. They're both nice tutorial thingies, though.)

Ok, for one, this is freaking awesome. For two, I really, really, want there to be more of this but you're probably not going to go through that kind of trouble anytime soon...
Three, What the heck is that poor guy being asked to be let out of... a bag? Hole? Looks kinda like a bed...

Ah, that suddenly makes a lot more sense! What did he do to earn captivity... and be abandoned by his friends? Seems kinda like he was breaking and entering. Sorry, the storyline just really interests me, you're good at this!
I really want to hear that dub, but it says the video isn't available :'(

excuse, how do you export this without losing frame rate quality? ive been working on some animations in PS6 and every time i save them for the web, i choose Gif and the quality slightly lags. do you have any tips? thanks.

Quality will always lag a bit when you work with colored animation. Basically, the less colors, the more quality. Here I only have a few, and variations between, and all of those fit within the around 260 colors in animation rule (and if not, program works with pixels to make it look nicer). The more colors and variations you have, the more simplified the scheme will have to be.

You can use any software for animation. But I think its in flash or something like that.. Because some smaller softwares arent that precise in timing of frames :)
But software doesnt help you to be better animator.

it's Photoshop.

And i agree, however, the program makes it easier to put it together and color it. Animating it, that's what one has to learn

There's something I need to address (not a bad thing, though).

Most of the animations I see on this site (and across the internet at times) are either based on anime or you can tell that it was done on an animation program.

That out of the way, animation like this is a breath of fresh air to me. It's very reminiscent of some of the Disney animated movies way back in the day. It has that fluent flow and roughness about it that brings something back to me (i.e. The Sword in the Stone, the Jungle Book, and more). Just how well they move and how hand-drawn the animation is brings a smile to my face and tells me that you worked a lot on this.
